St Agnes’ Primary School Social Media Community Guidelines

These guidelines are in place to help create a safe environment on all social media channels run by St Agnes’ Primary School. Our social media channels aim to create an environment where our community can safely engage in conversation and are free to make comments, questions and suggestions.

We ask that anyone engaging with our social media channels show courtesy, kindness and respect for all other members of our school and social media communities. In order to help create this safe environment, we have set out some guidelines that apply to any engagement with other members of the community on any of our social media channels or with us.

By engaging with our social media channels, you agree to follow these guidelines. Comments must not:

  • Contain spam, be defamatory of any person, deceive others, be obscene, offensive, threatening, abusive, hateful, inflammatory or promote sexually explicit material or violence.
  • Breach the privacy of any student, staff member or family member of a student or staff member.
  • Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
  • Breach any of the terms of any of the social media platforms themselves. Be off-topic, irrelevant or unintelligible.
  • Contain any advertising or promote any services that are not first approved by St Agnes’ Primary School or are unrelated to St Agnes’ Primary School.

Breach of guidelines

At our discretion, we reserve the right to determine whether contributions to our social media channels breach our guidelines. We reserve the right to hide or delete comments made on our channels and block users who do not follow these guidelines.

Acknowledgment of Country

We acknowledge the Birapai people, the traditional custodians of the lands on which our school resides. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, and culture of the Birpai peoples.
