From the Leaders
In this Sunday’s Gospel from Luke we hear the names of many political and religious leaders as well as those of regions of places that were important in the life of Jesus. John the Baptist was proclaiming the coming of God’s Kingdom, telling people that big changes would be coming when the Lord appears. Advent reminds us that we must do our part in preparing our hearts and minds for his coming.
This continues to be the busiest time of the year with voting for future leaders, providing for the needy in our community through Christmas Hampers, Christmas Carols, Golf Days, visits to the elderly and pre schools, transitions to Kinder and High School for 2025, swimming carnivals and the list goes on.
St Agnes' Swimming Carnival
What a great day for a swimming carnival. Thank you to Drew Wilson and Renee Shaw for their brilliant organisation of the day. Congratulations to staff and families for the great community spirit offered in coordinating time keeping, judging, recording and encouraging our children in their participation.
2024 SRC Leadership Dinner
The SRC and House leaders had a fun night to acknowledge their leadership for the 2024 school year. We appreciate the Year 6 staff coming along to shoot and be shot at in laser tag. A fun night was had by all.
2025 House Leaders
This week voting took place for our 2025 House Leaders. We look forward to announcing these Year 6 Leaders to the school community next week. Congratulations to all students who were nominated.
Year 4 - Wild Nets
Wild Nets was a fun experience despite the heat. Year 4 attended this day to celebrate their learning on forces in the curriculum. The students were generously treated to an icy pole each to help survive the heat by Mrs Bianca Brooks. Thank you Bianca.
Kindergarten Retreat
Kindergarten spent the afternoon with Jacob and Jaz from the parish participating in their retreat on Kindness. Next week Year 1 will celebrate their retreat with the theme of Nourished, based on their Gospel story of Feeding the Five Thousand.
Hamper Donation Day - Out of Uniform!
Thank You St Agnes' for your generosity!
On Thursday, the spirit of Christmas was alive and well as our School Representative Council and parent volunteers joined forces for a meaningful cause—assembling Christmas hampers for supporting others in our St Agnes’ Parish community.
The room buzzed with activity as festive foods and goodies were carefully packed into hampers, each one a symbol of generosity and kindness. The collaborative effort truly showcased the heart of our school community, reflecting the true meaning of the Christmas season—helping others.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to the donating, collection and packing process. Your donations and time are a reminder that together, we can make a real difference. A special shout out to our SRC and our parents who were able to help pack the hampers.
Mrs Felicity Cochrane (Mum of Henley and Mia)
Mrs Candy Roach (Mum of Alexander)
Mrs Kylie Denham (Mum of Jack)
Ms Phoebe Sprague
As we celebrate this season of giving, may these hampers bring warmth and joy to the families who receive them. Thank you for embodying the spirit of Christmas and spreading hope and love within our parish community.
Year 1
Year 1 attended the chapel for their final liturgy for the school year.
Father Alejo talked with the students about their preparation for Christmas during the Advent season. Congratulations to the students on their incredibly reverent and respectful behaviour in the chapel. It was wonderful to have so many families attend to provide the amazing support they have shown for participating in the faith life of this grade during the year.

Positive Behaviour Support
Catholic Social teaching:
We believe that every person is made in God’s image. We believe that every person has inherent dignity and every life is sacred.
The innate dignity of each person is the foundation and inspiration of our vision for a just and compassionate world.
We see the image of God in every person, no matter their circumstance. The women, men and children most vulnerable to extreme poverty and injustice should not be hindered from living a life equal to their dignity.
